Hi, my name is Tamika, owner and founder of Pleasantry Home Care.
One of the things I believe makes our company stand out from others is getting to know all my clients very well; I’m not sending a caregiver to your home while never having the chance to introduce myself in person. When emergencies happen and the backup person is not available, you will most likely see me. What I have learned from being a business owner is to never forget where you started, and regardless of where life may take me, I am never too proud to do any position. I love all aspects about my business and it is a pleasure when I get to see my clients in person.
Our care is not a once size fits all approach. What is best for the client is priority; we will listen and respond accordingly.
What Makes Us Special
At Pleasantry Home Care, your family is our family. Our certified caregivers are trained in all aspects of caregiving, including Alzheimer's and Dementia care, hospice care, blood pressure checks, as well as the transferring and positioning of patients. We conduct a thorough background check on all of our caregivers, so you can be sure you are getting the absolute best care.
What We Do
We begin by providing you with a free consultation where we learn about your needs and inform you on how we can help. The next step is customizing your needs and services with each case that we open. Our experienced case manager will meet with you and identify your individual needs, set up your care plan, and answer any questions you may have.

About Our Director
Our nursing director, LaTonya Gross, is a graduate of Madonna University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. LaTonya is a practicing registered nurse with more than 19 years of experience and a solid medical-surgical background. She also has extensive experience with patients who experience cognitive difficulties. As of 2021, she is a Certified Life and Health Coach and continuing her education.
About Our Founder
Our founder, Tamika Littleton, is a graduate of Kaplan University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a concentration in Gerontology. Tamika has been a patient advocate for 15 years with a strong background in helping those with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and in need of hospice care. As of 2020, she is a board-certified health coach and continuing her education.
A Note From Our Founder
I had a dear neighbor who was diagnosed with Dementia. She seemed very unhappy at the thought of having to relocate to a nursing home once her Dementia starts to progress.
She wanted to continue to remain in a place she was familiar with, but at the same time she was unsure of the cost of home care and if it would even fit her budget. I saw her declining more and more every day with the concern. and I stopped and asked myself why not be able to have the best of both worlds. Quality service with reasonable rates will allow you to have a longer, healthier, and happier life, and I knew I would want that for myself one day. This is one of the reasons why Pleasantry Home Care exists today.
I’m well aware of the financial predicament we are all facing in today’s economy. I realize the importance of our health and wellbeing in determining our quality of life.
When times get hard, we feel the need to overlook what’s important and only focus on what we think we can afford. This is why we offer fair rates with quality service. While getting the best home care, your finances are the least of your worries.
